Enroling at SGS

Thank you for your interest in enrolment at Scone Grammar School.  We look forward to meeting you and discussing your child’s education needs.

Scone Grammar School caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12.  Our main entry points are Kindergarten and Year 7 however, there are occasional vacancies in other years.

SGS is a non-selective school and students are placed on our enrolment list according to the date on which we receive your application.  Priority may be given to those with strong family connections to the School.  Our positions fill quickly so please take a moment to review our enrolment process.  To download a copy of our Enrolment Procedures Information Brochure click here.

Scholarships are offered to students entering various years.  The Academic Scholarship for Years 5, 7, 9 & 11, General Excellence Scholarship for Years 7 to 11 and Music Scholarships for Years 6 to 11.  For more detailed information on Scholarships please click here.

On receipt of your Application for Enrolment we will confirm the availability of a place or advise that you have been placed on a waiting list for the entry year you have selected.

All children applying to enrol at Scone Grammar School, along with their parents/guardians are invited for an interview with the Principal prior to commencement.  This interview ideally occurs 18 months prior to the proposed entry date. Following a satisfactory interview an offer of a place will be made.

For those students enrolled for Kindergarten a readiness interview is also held in the August prior to the commencement year.
